About Xynn

Yay! I Finally Get to Talk About Myself!

I’m sincerely disgusted by those who write their own biography in the third person! It’s pathetic. So here’s mine, the way it’s suppose to be told; more of a conversation than a speech. ^_^

WTH is a Tii Kenya Xynn?

You would be surprised how many people have asked me to repeat my name to them; they always go for the ‘double take’ because it might seem as if I’m speaking a different language when my name spills out. Understandable, but it never fails.

The correct pronunciation is [Tee Ken-yuh Zee-ahn]. Because my name is found to be so complex, I’m simply known as Xynn Tii. Luckily my name is quite marketable and unforgettable, just hard to pronounce I suppose.

Oh My, He’s a Blasian Child

This is very interesting; both of my parents grew up in the United States. But my Mother is Black American and my Dad is of Malaysian and Native-American descent. Oddly enough, I was born in Alabama but fortunately I haven’t lived there. I’m not much of a fan of Alabama, but I must admit it’s is a great place to stop for gas.

Prior to college, I lived the military life with my Mother, [who has played the role of Mom and Dad my entire life] mostly overseas in Japan, Germany and South Korea. Seoul, South Korea is my hometown and I make sure to visit every chance I get [not too often]. I actually see myself living somewhere in Asia after I’m out of college and established in life.

Presently, I’m attending the University of Miami, majoring in Broadcast Journalism. As an escalating hobby, I do a little something called photography, but that’s nothing important. ^_^

I’m The Shyest Guy Ever… with a Bass Voice

Nervousness consumes me, everyday. But for those that have met me, you probably think the opposite. Well, I have to tell you that over the years I have somehow been able to train myself not to appear nervous. Sadly, I haven’t been able to eliminate the jitters from my life, but I have gotten better at controlling the matter. This is similar to acne, I guess you could say; you can’t cure it, but you can do things to help prevent it [Yea, that was a whack example].

With this trait I’ve developed overtime I typically present myself with more confidence than I really have, simply to match my baritone voice. But I provide just enough so that I don’t seem arrogant because I’m far from that. I think I’ve just grown to understand what it means to ‘play the part’. Nevertheless, I’m still and will probably always be a work-in-progress.

Arrival of :xynn tii imagery.

:xynn tii imagery has opened doors far beyond my realm of initial expectations. I sincerely believe establishing this company has been the best decision I’ve ever made.

As Chief Executive Officer and sole proprietor, this company has allowed me to mature more rapidly, alongside the benefit of diverse experiences all within one city. This entire biography wouldn’t have any meaning if I did not mention how well the city of Miami has treated me. Since arriving in Miami in 2008, I’ve been exposed to countless photo and work opportunities that have easily shaped that path I am following today. For that, I’m deeply appreciative and grateful.

Most importantly, everything I do in life has a special purpose. With :xynn tii imagery, my mission is not only to share with you my delicious Eyecandy, but also to leave you with something new via my experiences which I capture through imagery. With the implementation of the write-ups in addition to the photo, this makes that experience multi-dimensional. Which brings me to the slogan of :xynn tii imagery – have an open mind.

Fortunately, growing up in a variety of cultures across the world has allowed me to view and accept life, not judge it. Because of this, my mind has become so broad toward new things and ideas. That’s the concept I wish to evoke via the theme of this company. Having an open mind about life makes living so much more pleasant.

My Approach Toward Imagery

For the most part, I always stay true to my age and personality. So to keep the theme consistent with :xynn tii imagery, I envisioned it to have that perfect balance of playfulness and professionalism. That’s my approach with this company and photography in general.

I feel my best ideas and images come to life when I’m not being excessively serious and narrow-minded. I enjoy being open to new ideas from fans and especially the opposers, through constructive criticism. Since I am the sole proprietor of :xynn tii imagery, I’m basically the only one that initiates ideas for the company. So I always look to those that follow my work for recommendations of what could make it better and more appealing to others. I love having support; it auto-corrects a lot of my mistakes and stubbornness.

Nine Disturbing Things About Xynn Tii

1. Hear me out, I’m very open-minded. However… when it comes to food, strictly Asian. I love Korean food more than I love my camera. I’m a serious fan of rice, the most orgasmic food known to the human race. My Mom has told me on occasion, “You’re gonna turn into a damn grain of rice!” I think that pretty much sums it up.

2. I’m a bit like Chelsea Handler, in that I try my best not to take showers over the weekend. Seriously, no one needs to bathe themselves on Saturday or Sunday. It’s just not necessary… at all. But if you don’t shower during the week, that’s just disgusting.

3. I’ve been to so many places in the World; places where I wouldn’t be surprised if I experienced something traumatic. But strangely, the most traumatic incident I’ve ever encountered happened in Miami, in my own condo. See, I went to go unplug my iron from the wall jack with disregard to the swiveling 42 inch plasma TV mounted on the wall behind me. As soon as I turned around, I hit my head so hard on that damn TV that it knocked me off my feet. In conclusion, I am forever traumatized by televisions, wall jacks, irons, ironing boards and any other objects that played a role in this very depressing period of my life. LG, I still love you.

4. Once again, I’m very open-minded. However, when it comes to computers… strictly Mac! [Do you sense a contradiction floating in the air?] But come on, Apple is the sexiest computer brand by far, at least from a photographer’s perspective it is. =/

5. This is my all-time most exuberant goal in life: To have 2 fully-trained grey wolfs as pets. No, not those half-breed hybrid-looking things! I’m talking about 100% Wildlife Wolf! If this goal were to ever come true, hopefully they won’t chew my neck off in my sleep.

6. Before I leave this Earth, I would like the have the opportunity of running my fingers through the hair of Beyoncé Knowles and Adriana Lima. Oh, and if I could do that simultaneously it would be even better, but I’m think I’m asking for too much.

7. Sort of in continuation to #4: I’ve come to realize that no one kicks my ass better than I do. This is pretty sad. I would have to say around 90% of my lifetime injuries have been self-inflicted. In fact, from time to time I’ll observe some of the scars I have and reminisce about what I did to earn it. I’ve grown out of so many bad habits, but clumsiness seems to stay with me.

8. This just may be the craziest and inappropriate thing about me, but I’m convinced that I eat way too much Asian food and here’s why: Every now and then, my urine takes on the exact scent of teriyaki sauce. You don’t have to say it, I know it sounds disgusting and ridiculous, but I think its kinda cool.

9. I watch CNN International all the time, not to catch up on news, but just to stare at anchor Isha Sesay. She’s so sexy and I want to meet her as soon as possible. Furthermore, the name Isha Sesay is the greatest name ever! Like, when you say her name, the words make love to your mouth [Yea, I told you these things would be quite disturbing].
