Zipping Past the Miami Film Festival.
Eyecandy Tastes Better at my Portfolio!
You know you want a taste of my Eyecandy. But luckily, it comes in an abundance of sizes! Don’t think nasty; I’m referring to my photos over at portfolio.xynntii.com.You can see all of my photos by clicking “Portfolio” at the top. Some are misled by the slideshow, but those who have been to online portfolio’s before understand that it’s just an opening teaser.
You can even buy prints directly within the genre galleries so go crazy! The most popular print sold thus far this premiere month has been Venus Williams is Pretty Damn Intimidating! Listen: You don’t have to stress over it anymore. Buy that print in addition to any other within Eyecandy today.
Acknowledge the Olympia Theatre.
During the finale night of Miami Int’l Film Festival (MIFF) 2010 I was called to get some shots of the audience; folks waiting in line for tickets and making their way indoors. I wanted to create a sense of perspective and location so before crossing the street I got low, set up the tripod and take exposure takes its course. Coincidentally, a Benz sped by a the same time I triggered off. Fortunately I was able to capture the people in one piece, in contrast to the strobe effect from the vehicle.

A Sexy Anniversary for :xynn tii imagery!

Progress Far Beyond My Realm of Expectations
Setting my ego aside, just temporarily: I had no idea what I was doing when I established xynn tii imagery in May ’09. I just saw it as a way to to make some good legal money on the side. Initially, I didn’t have a website, no advertisements or clientele, not even a decent camera. 12 months, 45 clients and 2 sponsors later [with tremendous support from an escalating fanbase], I’ve been fortunate enough to turn this company into something that’s pretty serious toward the visual attraction of South Florida.
But I wouldn’t even say that xynn tii imagery has reached its appetizer. Its just sitting down at the table, getting ready to order. There’s so much more I’m capable of doing with this movement via future clients, collaborations and partnerships. This isn’t a one-man band; the best ideas come to life when countless minds merge ideas and skills. This is the greatest thing I’ve been able to learn and mature at within business and I will use it with every next step I take alongside xynn tii imagery. Most importantly though: the fanbase has been insane!
Hello Vero Beach, Florida =D
I’m lodging at the nostalgic Vero Beach for the weekend, celebrating this Anniversary with a handful of friends and company associates. Miami does get old every once in a while and a nice 3 days away seems to always refresh it. I have to admit I’m doing more work than relaxation as I’m meeting with a potential sponsor! In fact, I’m writing this post just before our meeting. 0_0 Hopefully I’ll get a chance to dive in the beach waters before heading back to Miami; wish me luck, and the time!
Everglades Undergoes Monochrome Surgery
Not too long ago I released a status update to the fansite. I mentioned that I would reveal my favorite monochrome image to date. If you’ve been following xynn tii imagery since December ’09 then you’ve seen this image before, but in color. I’m real anxious to see which one you like better: Color or Monochrome? Both images speak to me in different ways, even though they’re fraternal twins.
I’m gonna make an attempt to get Everglades on the Bay to display this or the color print somewhere within the twin towers. If any of the Everglades realtors read this, please act surprised when I come in and ask. ^_^

The Most Blank Stares I’ve Ever Received.

More From Gusman Center During MIFF 2010
For some reason this year I took a completely different approach toward the Miami Int’l Film Festival. Instead of the usual boring podium pics, I made it a priority to capture the architecture of the Olympia Theatre, inside and out. Because of this initiative, I was able to see so much more of this place in comparison to last year, where I was highly distracted by Miami Female Eyecandy! 0_0
In continuation of the random discussion I created within the last MIFF image post, I was very shocked at how many people just stood around and starred at me as I got this shot. I didn’t received those “Oh, I’m so interested in what you’re doing” type stares. I got those “What the hell is he doing, he look ridiculous” type stares. I decided to set up for this shot after nearly everyone had left this area [the main entrance] and were seated in the theatre. I figured this would help alleviate traffic, which it did. But it didn’t prevent the spectators. Too bad no one bothered to raise their head to see what displayed above them. =/
“There’s No Way The Ceiling is Really That Illuminated!”
Well I have to be honest: it really isn’t. Obviously there would need to be a ginornous light source to create such an orgasmic-looking scene from above. Those ceiling lamps clearly would not provide that much illumination; hence the High Dynamic Range Imaging process. ^_^
1. I always use a tripod, so get in the habit of using one as well. It makes the editing process so much easier. At this site, I captured 3 shots at the exact same position using 3 different exposures, bracketed at -2, 0, +2. For HDRI’s, I consistently use Photomatix to fuse the exposures together. There is also a great tonemapping feature included in the program. Keep in mind though, Photomatix is typically only the first of about 8 steps.
2. Next, it’s time for Photoshop! Using color correction, desaturation and tonal contrast is a must. Color Efex Pro, an excellent plug-in that I use, can get this job done the best. I use it more than any other plug-in. I’m sure you will find it very productive and user-friendly.

Let Me Guide You, To Marina Blue

Twitter = The Best I Ever Had
Yea, it’s kind of a big deal to become an active Twitter user. For serious, make sure you’re following each and every tweet of xynn tii imagery.™ I like to think I am a true twitter user [& there goes the ego].
Some often get the misconception that Twitter is simply a social network where you only let people know what you’re doing every minute of the day. WRONG, WRONG! It’s more than that. Trey Ratcliff [the best HDR photographer in the game] will tell you firsthand that its about sharing the Internet with… with the Internet. Twitter makes it easier to share links with one another at the fastest rate possible.
Links are what make up the world wide web, and we’re constantly searching for news, inspiration, etc. Twitter is ideal for bringing all of this together as one big foundation. As a person that enjoys taking photos, I am constantly receiving links via the people I follow for inspiration and… everything. You can only get the most out of this Twitter by simply following the right people and being proactive and educational within your own tweets.
Look, the bottom line is: If you use Twitter for what’s its truly meant for and if manipulate all of its capabilities, you’re bound to discover that it’s actually quite useful and worth your time. Most importantly, follow xynn tii imagery™ c;
Image Detail.
The Marina Blue. Yea, it’s pretty sexy. It’s architecture is just ridiculous, and I mean that in a good way! It’s another relatively new condo residence of the dwntwn Miami area. It’s almost directly across the street from where the Miami Heat play [AA Arena]. I really don’t know much about it except that I know I can’t afford to live there… and that… it’s a sexy-looking skyscraper. ><
I wanted to lead the viewer’s eyes to the tower by finding an angle in which it would be centered and in the background. Do you think I accomplised that? =p I would love to go inside this place and hopefully within the next few days I will have the opportunity to shoot some images from one of their top floors. I would be able to get a decent shot of the AA Arena from up there, with the traffic strobe-lighted through the long-exposure process. Mhm, sounds like a plan.
Soooo, do you like this photo? Are you a Twitter user? Are you following xynn tii imagery™? Do you strongly dislike how the media is eating Tiger Woods inside out!? Tell me what you’re thinking. Comment this post and leave a comment via Twitter using the hastag #vlogcast. [ I will be able to find your tweet easier when you use the hashtag c: ]

No, This is the Real Everglades!

Dwntwn Miami is Growing
excessively fast; so fast that I doubt the city is ready for what it’s creating. It’s puzzling how the city continues to approve of mass land development projects for 50+ story towers and fails to consider expanding the roads within the area. They’re forming ways to lead traffic in, but not making room for them to leave=/ All I can say is WOW, let’s start thinking outside of the box ! please.
Okay praise-time: I love this condo residence in the center frame, which held its grand opening in January 2009 [it's actually still under construction]. & If you know your history of dwntwn Miami [yea, I don't even know the history and I live here] then you are aware of the legendary Everglades Hotel being the predecessor of the land that is now occupied by these two 55-story towers called Everglades on the Bay.
The design has a real presidential look and even includes some sexual connotations within the interior design, which is quite common for perverted Miami. [ Oh, I decided to head to the front of the American Airlines Arena to get some of its title into the frame. Not too many Miamians really appreciate this arena, but l'm a serious fan of its architecture ]
