During the fourth quarter of this year, Eyecandy Newsletter will be delivered to your inbox!  Email that is, and I’ll make sure they live up to their name; less text, more graphics! A great HTML Email Team will assist me as these monthly Newsletters will highlight everything present and upcoming for :xynn tii imagery within the calendar month. Also Included will be a great stream of the latest images released by :xynn tii imagery (an easy way to play catch-up if necessary!) Eyecandy Newsletter will share the same design and theme as Eyecandy Portfolio. Consistency, so you don’t get confused or lost. =D

This will be an excellent leap forward in the marketing department for the company, as I know people love to share fun and interesting emails by forwarding them to family and friends! I love making everything entertaining and user-friendly; a colorful and inviting monthly Newsletter will be a great addition to my repertoire. Kim Clijsters w/ the Quick Smackdown

If you just started following :xynn tii imagery then you may have missed out on my first image from the Sony Ericsson Open 2010. Let’s all go back for a moment to Venus Williams = Pretty Damn Intimidating, my favorite Media shot thus far. Even though Venus looks sizzling in the photo, Kim Clijsters cooled her way down during game time. Clijsters managed to deliver the ass whooping within an hour, taking home the trophy with that Belgian smile of hers. Game Over!

Considering how distracted as I was by the insufferable heat, I was surprised to  get a nice colorful shot of the entrance along with some attendees. I was actually standing in the rush hour traffic as I took this. As usual I received a great deal of blank stares and car-honking.

College Sucks & Epic Hotel Pics

Not too long ago, I took some interesting night shots of and around a luxury hotel in dwntwn Miami called Epic.  I really look forward to sharing them but the school semester is coming to close and finals are approaching. It’s sad to say, but I’ll be the happiest guy in Miami when this semester ends. =_= Summer time in Miami is the best because an entirely new breed of photo opportunities come around, mostly on the beach. *Patience Xynn Tii, patience. ^_^

Venus: Where Have You Been All My Life?

Well, even though she received an irreversible spanking in the Women’s Finals of the Sony Ericsson Open on Apr. 3, she’s still the best in my book. c; Venus Williams would have earned her fourth Finals win at this event had it not been Belgium’s Kim Clijsters with the blowout; Yea, it was pretty bad. In fact, the match didn’t even last an hour. But personally, I saw it as a plus because it was a sauna out there and my skin tone is clearly not meant for long-term sunlight exposure. >_<

However, for others that paid hundreds of dollars for a ticket, the ass-whooping was a serious disappointment. Too bad; Maybe they’ll learn to play it safe by watching it on tv next time right? But beyond all the complaints, this photo opportunity was great and I really enjoyed myself. I was treated so well by the Sony Ericsson staff who registered me as press right on the site. c;

How Did I Make The Court So… Colorful?

I really wanted to spice up this photo by expressing, through color, how powerful Venus’s serve is. So I took to the court, literally. I added a gradient using the same colors that Venus is wearing within her outfit, to make the feature look like it belongs in the photo. So, that calls for my fav ➡ Color Efex Pro is seriously the best I’ve ever had. What was so great for me with this image is that I exposed myself to seldom-used presets of Nik Software. [By the way, Color Efex Pro is a Photoshop Plug-in, and it's really sexy to me!]

1. First, I used the quick selection tool and outlined Venus’s body, making it a separate layer from the rest of the image. This is to ensure the gradient effect will not expose to her shoes and legs.

2. Next, I outlined the part of the court in which I want the gradient to appear. In this case, the middle of the court will be the target. Once selected, I fired up Color Efex Pro and chose the preset called “Graduated User Defined”. You’ll definitely have to make some initial tweeks to the controls to get the gradient angle you want.

3. Finally, the photo needed some pop within the details, so I used the following presets to get everything just right: Contrast Color Range and Tonal Contrast. Pro Contrast was the last touch, which helps with color correction. c;

I’m a serious fan of how two ginormous Miami fashion venues debut within the same month. Funkshion Fashion Week was a great appetizer for the Fashion industry, but Miami Int’l Fashion Week was definitely the full course meal! 0_0

So much eyecandy flooded this event and I’m not going to take up too more of your time with these unnecessary words; the photos speak in more words and languages than I could ever dream of! I felt it was my obligation! to dedicate an entire album just for MIFW over at the fansite; I simply couldn’t narrow the images down to just 20 or 30; I wanted to share as much I could based on the experience I had, so why not create the first triple-digit photo album? ^_^

Who said dwntwn Miami doesn’t have bright lights?

I was really grateful to have gotten this shot! I was actually allowed access to one of the highest levels of my condo residence in dwntwn Miami. I’ve been craving this opportunity for months. c; This image points to the south, toward the Brickell district. I am a serious fan of the Bank of America Tower [purple skyscraper at right] because decades it has managed to remain a highlight of the dwntwn Miami area, literally. It began groundbreaking in 1983 and to much surprise still has that modern look to it.

What separates this Bank of America Tower from its surroundings are the interchangeable LED lights that mock colors based on specific times of the year or event. [For instance, during Breast Cancer Awareness month, the tower was lit in pink] Remarkable idea, I love it. This image also depicts the architectural renovation process of Miami. You can clearly see that the buildings start to look more modern as you track from the bottom of the image to the top, which is a true representation.

It really is only a matter of time before the Hyatt Regency Hotel and James L Knight Center [white buildings at center frame] are renovated and the same goes for much of the dwntwn area. I think its necessary and I look forward to seeing how Miami will look in 5 to 10 years from now. c;

This is a high dynamic range image and also my 1st taken with my new Canon D7 ! I used a -2 to +2 exposure metering [where I merged 3 images together during post production] No photoshop! was used during this process. I developed the image with photomatix and lightroom. c:

Believe it or not, I believe the most interesting section of this photo is actually in the very back. You can see a cruise ship from a far that separates the water from the sky! That divide gives the background more of a 3D-rounded look. But hey! Please supply your critique on this image via commenting here or even via twitter. Is this image in or out ?

This will be a very good look for xynn tii imagery, as we are making better attempts of becoming more engaged w/ all the Fans ! Also, these vlogcasts™ will have guest appearances = very necessary.

So What’s Next?

Okay, so the last update made claims of several couture shoot updates being posted this week. So … where are they? Here’s our excuse; three shoots were rescheduled for November, as a result of last-minute event bookings in the Miami area.
