Oh damn, didn’t I say I was giving the HDRI artform a rest for a couple more vlogcasts™? Whoops, my bad. >_<Wish I knew then what I now know about the Inter-Continental Hotel in dwntwn Miami. Let me try to keep my composure when I say this: The lobby is frazy sexy! [Yes, frazy  is what I meant to say. c:] Hard to believe this place has been here since ‘82 and is still relative today.

But seriously though, what I enjoy most about the Inter-Continental Hotel is their culturally diverse business. It appeals to people from so many different countries, which is a really, really good look. I promise you: I heard at least 7 different languages while I was there.

Getting inside the lobby without a reservation was easier than I thought. Typically when you walk past Valet, they always want to interrogate you about where you’re heading [Or is that just with me?]

Upon entering one of the 10 double doors, you’re greeted by this enormous figure [as seen in the image] that favors the shape of a face. This thing is huge yo! But I seemed to be the only one fascinated by it, so I decided to head upstairs where I could get a good angle.

Next Obstacle = Security! O_o
Yea, I almost got in trouble when 3 security guards damn near walked through walls  to get to me for questioning [they came out of no where]. I did what I normally do though: took the photo then showed it to them so they could see my intentions. This move worked as usual, I gave out the business card and continued taking some more shots as they left me alone. So necessary!

SYMPATHY TIP: Whenever walking around with your DSLR camera mounted on its tripod, try to look as innocent as possible. You already appear suspicious enough because at first glance it looks as if you’re holding a rifle. So just be calm. c;

W-O-W ! I’m not going to talk much because these subjects speak for themselves c:

But, I found out about this event just a few hours prior by randomly going to nba.com/heat. I wanted to see if there was a Heat game going on, but instead I saw that a runway showcase was going down right on the steps of the American Airlines Arena… for free ! I canceled my plans and got ready immediately. Ha

The 2009-2010 Miami Heat Dancers sported just a few of the many outfits that they will be wearing throughout their regular season performances. The Dancers made their introduction on stage via a white limousine, which was unexpected.

During the intermissions, several clips were shown on the jumbo screen, which depicted the journey that these ladies went through to get the position as a Heat Dancer.

[ It was funny because while Yesenia [one of 25 dancers] walked the runway, the announcer bursted out “Folks, she’s all Miami” = hysterical ]

Okay, topic switch-up > I’ve noticed for a while now that there is a limited amount of ‘die-hard’ Heat fans, which was definitely portrayed through the attendance turnout of this event. I promise you, no more than 100 people came to support the Heat Dancers, and at least 30 of us were press. =/ Crazy !

Can someone please explain that one to me ?! Unbelievable, yet believable.

Fortunately I live on the west side of my condo residence in dwntwn Miami, so I get to experience all of the differently colored sunsets. But it’s a shame because I’m rarely home in the evening, so I’m sure I’ve missed a serious amount of sexy sunsets

This has got to be the most spontaneous image I have taken so far, simply because I had awoken from a nap just before seeing this sunset. I walked into my living room and I promise you: the image you see is exactly what I saw. 0_0

I literally felt like it was my obligation to take a photo immediately. Haa This is easily the prettiest sunset I’ve witnessed in Miami. I was struck by how the color tones in the sky were so evenly stacked and blended. It was… so… orgasmic to see it in real-time. c: Hopefully this image will make you feel as if you were seeing it in person as well.

I went through several masking processes while editing this image, specifically for lighting purposes. If I hadn’t done this, you would not be able to see the detail within the entire inside of my condo. My Nikkor lens captured the inside as a silhouette, [ all black ] so I felt that if you could see objects indoors in addition to the outdoor scenery, the image would be more interesting.

This is very boring but as you may already know, a camera lens does not capture evenly spread lighting all the time, especially when you’re pointing at an object with the sky in the background. Hence, the editing process. ><

Also, I used my simple 50mm lens, which had a perfect range in relation to the length of my living room. I took 5 shots at 5 different exposures to assist me when I did the masking for the curtains.

Would you believe that this runway showcase was only 1 of over 150 events going on during Audi’s Sleepless Night at Miami Beach ?… Damn near simultaneously. Insanity of Miami culture and entertainment !

When you come to South Florida during early November, “Sleepless Night” is a must, for serious. The 13-hour series of events are free and spread throughout 20 blocks of Miami Beach. Learn even more about it at the link above.

I finally popped my “Sleepless Night” cherry with this attendance. ^^ But sadly enough, the only event on the schedule that stood out was this runway showcase at Nikki Beach! It was dubbed “What Women Want” and featured swimsuit fashions exclusively from SNK swimwear designer Mirla Sabino. The models were chosen from ANK by Mirla Sabino and Salinas Swimwear.

I didn’t go alone, unsurprisingly. I accompanied a few media colleagues [ Gabriel, Nancy & Sam ] and we all decided, with crazy bias, that swimwear on the catwalk was easily going to be the highlight of the night ! Hope you enjoy all of them. stay tuned | see you soon. c:
